Premium Berkshire Pork, Raised by Our Family.

On Pasture, On Purpose

What “On Pasture, On Purpose” Means

Rotationally Grazed

Our pigs are raised outdoors and moved through managed pasture and wooded paddocks. Rotational grazing gives them fresh ground to explore while allowing previously grazed areas time to rest and recover.

Regeneratively Minded

We use livestock as part of a practical, regenerative approach to the land. Our goal is to improve soil health, distribute nutrients naturally, protect pasture condition, and leave the ground better over time.

Personally Accountable

Customers work directly with the family raising their food. We communicate clearly, provide updates, and stand behind our commitments.

A Return to Something Grounded

Farming has long been part of both sides of our family story. Growing up—Brian around Moose Lake and at his family's farm in Ellsworth, Minnesota, and Jenn on a cattle farm outside Cloquet—our childhoods were shaped by land, livestock, and the daily rhythm of rural life.

In the aftermath of the September 11 terrorist attacks, Brian joined the United States Marine Corps, serving from 2001 to 2007 as a crew chief and door gunner aboard UH-1N Huey helicopters, including combat operations in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. After leaving the military, Brian returned home to Moose Lake and began a career working for the State of Minnesota. Jenn built her career in the corporate world, bringing extensive leadership, accounting, and corporate controlling experience from the oil and gas industry, backed by her MBA.

Over time, we increasingly found ourselves drawn back to something more grounding—work with tangible results, a closer connection to the land and animals, and a shared project for our family. Collins Family Farm grew from that desire. Blending our roots, operational backgrounds, and shared values, it is a return to the work and way of life that shape us every single day.
