Meet the Collins Family
Brian and Jenn first met in high school, but life took them in different directions for nearly 20 years. When their paths crossed again, they brought together a blended family and a shared desire to build something meaningful.
Together, they have four children—Carter, Ava, Jack, and Eli. Their family spans different ages, experiences, personalities, and seasons of life, all of which shape the farm they are creating together in Moose Lake.
Their professional careers remain an important part of their lives and continue alongside the farm. Brian holds a master’s degree in management and has spent 20 years working for the State of Minnesota in public safety, where he currently serves in an executive leadership role. Jenn holds an MBA and brings 20 years of experience across public and private industry, specializing in corporate controllership and cost accounting in the oil and gas industry.
That experience has shaped the way they approach the farm: with careful planning, financial discipline, accountability, and follow-through. But the work is also deeply hands-on. Brian and Jenn are directly involved in the animals’ daily care, from feeding and watering to moving fence, managing pasture rotations, and monitoring health and behavior.
Keeping the farm intentionally small allows them to remain personally involved throughout the growing season and accountable for how the animals are raised. Collins Family Farm is being built deliberately, balancing family, professional careers, and the daily responsibility of raising animals well.
Building Something of Our Own
Collins Family Farm grew from a desire to build something tangible as a family—something grounded in responsible animal care, honest work, and a closer connection between the people who raise food and the people who buy it.
The farm is intentionally focused on premium Berkshire pork and carefully selected poultry programs. Brian and Jenn are not trying to become the largest farm or offer every possible product. They are concentrating on what they believe they can raise exceptionally well, improving each season and building a farm they are proud to stand behind.
