Who we are

Collins Family Farm is a small, family-run farm in Moose Lake, Minnesota. We raise feeder-to-finish Berkshire hogs on pasture, finished with certified organic, non-GMO, soy-free feed.

We also raise pastured poultry, including seasonal eggs, using the same standards for animal care and feed quality.

We work in small batches and sell directly to families who want to know how their food is raised, where it comes from, and who is responsible for it. Availability varies by season and is intentionally limited to maintain quality and consistency.

Our approach

  • Small batches: We raise animals in small batches to prioritize care, consistency, and quality over volume.

  • Quality feed: We use certified organic, non-GMO, soy-free feed to support animal health and superior fat quality.

  • Local processing: We work with a local, custom processor and sell pork by hanging weight to provide clear expectations around yield and cost.

  • Transparency: We believe customers deserve straightforward information about pricing, process, and yield—not marketing spin.

  • Limited scale: We intentionally limit how many animals we raise each year. That allows us to manage feed quality, pasture health, animal welfare, and customer communication directly—without compromise.

A family farm

Collins Family Farm is operated by our family — not a corporation.

We raise our livestock, manage our land, and work directly with our customers. When you contact us, you’re speaking with the people responsible for the animals on the farm and the food on your table. That responsibility shapes every decision we make—from how we feed our animals to how we price and sell our pork.
