Berkshire Pork Shares—Sold by the Half & Whole

Berkshire pork, raised on pasture and finished on certified organic, non-GMO, soy-free feed.

We raise a limited number of hogs each year for families who value quality, transparency, and knowing where their food comes from. Limited shares each year—most years sell out before harvest.

Is Buying a Pork Share Right for You?

A pork share is a good fit if you:

  • Have freezer space

  • Cook regularly at home

  • Prefer buying in bulk over individual cuts

  • Care about ingredient quality and transparency

It may not be a good fit if you’re looking for:

  • Individual retail cuts

  • Immediate pickup

  • Grocery-store pricing

How The Process Works

Reserve Your Share

Review the Buying & Price Guide, then place a non-refundable deposit to reserve your share ($200 for a half hog / $300 for a whole hog). Once your deposit is received, we’ll confirm availability and next steps by email.

Raise & Finish

Your Berkshire hog is raised on pasture and finished on certified organic, non-GMO, soy-free feed until fall harvest.

Customize

Before processing, you’ll work directly with the processor to choose your cuts. If this is your first pork share, we’ll help you understand your options ahead of time.

Pick Up

Harvest takes place in the fall. After processing, you’ll pick up your pork directly from the processor during a scheduled pickup window (typically late September or early October).

What Comes With A Pork Share

  • Heritage Berkshire pork, known for rich flavor and natural marbling

  • A full range of cuts, including chops, roasts, ribs, ground pork, bacon, and sausage.

  • Custom cut to your preferences—not a pre-packaged box

  • Processed at a local, custom processor where you select your cuts directly

  • Optional traditional cuts (soup bones, hocks, fat, organ meats, upon request)

Buying by the half or whole hog ensures the entire animal is used, maximizing both value and respect for the animal raised for your table.

About Pricing

Pork shares are priced by hanging weight, plus processing. The final cost depends on the size of your hog and your cut selections, which is why pricing varies from share to share. A non-refundable deposit secures your share of our limited fall harvest and is applied toward your final balance, with the remaining amount due at processing.

Our pricing reflects the true cost of raising Berkshire hogs on pasture using certified organic, non-GMO, soy-free feed, small-batch processing, and hands-on management from start to finish.

This model is best suited for customers who value quality, transparency, and buying directly from the farm. Full pricing details, estimates, and examples are provided in our Buying & Price Guide.

Availability

Our Berkshire pork shares are offered as a limited fall harvest. We raise a fixed number of hogs each year and sell shares in advance.
